1. About Us
These General Terms and Conditions apply to cleaning services provided by Surgeon Cleaning Services ("we", "us", "our").
By booking our services, you ("the customer", "you", "your") agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Our Cleaning Services
We provide domestic and commercial cleaning services, which may include:

Regular domestic cleaning

One-off cleaning
-
Deep cleaning
-
End-of-tenancy cleaning
-
Office and commercial cleaning
-
Move-in / Move-out cleaning
-
After-event cleaning
-
Other cleaning services agreed with the customer
The exact services, price and estimated duration will be agreed with you before the cleaning takes place.
3. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when we have agreed the date, time, service and price with you.
We reserve the right to decline a booking where we are unable to safely or reasonably provide the requested service.
4. Prices & Payment
The price of your cleaning service will be confirmed before the service begins:

Payment is due on completion of the service.

Any additional work requested by the customer may result in an additional charge.

Any additional charges will be explained and agreed with the customer before the additional work is carried out.

For larger commercial contracts, different payment terms may be agreed in writing.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may charge a reasonable cancellation fee where a cancellation causes us to incur costs or lose a booking, but any such charge will be proportionate and in accordance with applicable law.
If a booking was made online or otherwise as a distance contract, consumer cancellation rights may apply. In certain circumstances, consumers have a 14-day cancellation period, subject to the applicable rules and exceptions.
If you ask us to start the service during a cancellation period, additional rules may apply.
6. Access to the Property
The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time.
If we cannot access the property because:
-
nobody is available;
-
keys/access codes have not been provided;
-
access arrangements are incorrect; or
-
the property cannot be safely accessed,
we may be unable to provide the service and may treat the booking as cancelled.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must inform us before the appointment of anything that may affect the cleaning service, including:
-
hazardous substances;
-
dangerous animals;
-
significant damage to the property;
-
infestations;
-
areas requiring specialist cleaning;
-
fragile or valuable items;
-
any other health or safety concerns.
We may refuse to clean an area if doing so would put our staff, the customer or the property at unreasonable risk.
8. Cleaning Standards
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, as required by applicable consumer law.
Cleaning results can vary depending on the condition, age, materials and level of dirt or staining within a property.
Some stains, damage, mould, limescale, grease or other marks may not be completely removable through normal cleaning methods.
9. Damage or Loss
We will take reasonable care while providing our services.
If you believe that our staff have caused damage to your property, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the issue.
We will investigate legitimate claims and, where appropriate, take reasonable steps to resolve them.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
10. Health & Safety
We have the right to stop or refuse a cleaning service where we reasonably believe that the working environment is unsafe.
This may include situations involving:

exposed electrical hazards;
-
dangerous chemicals;
-
aggressive or uncontrolled animals;
-
significant pest infestations;
-
unsafe structural conditions;
-
needles or other hazardous materials; or
-
any other serious health and safety risk.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will review your complaint and try to resolve the matter fairly and reasonably.

12. Subcontractors & Cleaning Staff
Where appropriate, Surgeon Cleaning Services may use trained employees, contractors or subcontractors to provide cleaning services.
We remain responsible for the services we agree to provide to the customer.
13. Changes to Bookings
If you request changes to the cleaning service after the booking has been confirmed, the price or duration may change.
We will communicate any significant change to you before carrying out the additional work.
14. Privacy
We may collect and process personal information when you contact us, request a quote or book our services.
Our use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy / Data Protection Policy.
15. Website Information
We aim to ensure that information displayed on our website is accurate and up to date.
However, photographs and descriptions of cleaning services are provided for general information and may not represent the exact result achievable at every property.
16. Governing Law
These terms and any agreement between Surgeon Cleaning Services and the customer are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these terms affects any legal rights that you have as a consumer.
